Hans Rosling

Hans Rosling was an esteemed physician, educator, and speaker. As a medical doctor and professor of global health, he aimed to enlighten our minds by dispelling myths about the so-called developing world, which (as he pointed out) is no longer worlds away from the West. Before he passed away in 2017, Rosling gave extremely popular TED Talks in which he promoted the use of data (and data visualization) to explore development issues. He was ranked among the world's most influential people by Time magazine. His book Factfulness (2018) is an international bestseller.
